The Slovenian Baroque Orchestra and Consort was founded in 2018 and represents the first institution in the Republic of Slovenia which nurtures and actively works towards the awareness and promotion of Slovenian and European musical heritage from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
Although recently unknown in the Slovenian musical sphere, the Slovenian Baroque Orchestra and Consort collaborates with professional musicians as well as with the most successful members of the Baroque Orchestra and Choir of the Early Music Department of the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana.

Slovenski baročni orkester in Consort bo v soboto 23.12.23 ob 17h v Stolnici Sv. Nikolaja v Ljubljani na koncertu “IN NATIVITATEM” izvajal sakralno vokalno instrumentalno glasbo baročnih skladateljev Antonia Tarsie in Antonia Rigattija ter njunih sodobnikov. Prisluhnite unikatni avtentični izvedbi del na historičnih instrumentih s profesionalnimi izvajalci stare glasbe. Nakup kart je možen na eventim.si ali uro pred koncertom na prizorišču. Koncert je podprla Mestna občina Ljubljana.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT OF SACRAL MUSIC WITH BAROQUE ORCHESTRA AND CONSORT
Festival, ki poteka do vključno 09. julija, pomembno prispeva k širjenju stare glasbe na naših tleh s številnimi domačimi in tujimi solisti, specializiranimi za baročni repertoar. S svojo dejavnostjo SBO spodbuja, pripravlja in koproducira umetniške projekte iz sveta izvajanja glasbe, petja in plesa, katerih del je tudi vključevanje mladih umetniških izvajalcev.
